It is very off the wall, but I've really liked it. If you didn't like the first couple of episodes though the show hasn't deviated from the style of those initial episodes.
Don't know if the limited series will be good or not, the book was great, but I'm curious to see what TNT does with The Alienist.
Netflix - The End of the ****ing World Starz - Counterpart Showtime - The Chi FX - American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace TNT - The Alienist (this one starts tomorrow and looks good)
Third season of The Detour (TBS) starts tomorrow. First 2 seasons were pretty funny. Season 2 of Legion (FX) starts in April. First season was bingeworthy. Season 2 of Brockmire (IFC) starts in April. Season 1 was hilarious. The End of the ****ing World on Netflix was sit down and forget all of your weekend plans.
Anyone catch The Resident after the NFC game last night? Pretty solid premise - definitely explores the darker side / decisions of medicine. It's probably the most socially conscious superhero show on the CW. It's a bit like the premise of Luke Cage. Fans are gonna be clamoring for a crossover with the other 3 shows, but even just after one episode, it has a solid foundation to be a standalone show.
I would tell you to finish it. I think it is worth it. I give it a solid B some nitpicks but nothing major Rocket River
I got all of the XFiles on my DVR . . . I read the descriptions and then could not remember anything about the last season I am unsure IF I will watch them because i feel like i might need to rewatch last season Rocket River
The Good Place is surprisingly funny show IMO. It gets an added bonus for the fantasy/sci-fi element. It takes about 2-3 episodes to get going though. I'm not sure how it is doing in the ratings, but I think it is up there with Happy Endings as one of the more underappreciated comedies. If you haven't watched Happy Endings it's on Hulu. You're welcome.
