You're not gonna come in here & fire everybody, OK? The Texans have parted ways with director of football operations Jason Lowrey, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly. Lowrey worked under and was close with former Texans general manager Rick Smith, who's now on a leave of absence while his wife battles cancer. Lowrey was previously a football operations manager for the AFC South franchise before he was promoted to a director level. The Texans hired former Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Texans personnel executive Brian Gaine as their new general manager on Saturday. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...t-ways-with-director-of-football-12503070.php
BOB getting all his buddies together........ the Texans are in good hands....... let the good times roll! This **** is going to end WELL........... I can just feel it!
patrickVerified account @PatDStat “You can build a roster from the back end to the front.” Brian Gaine. #Texans What the heck is he talking about?
Job performance aside, one thing that always annoyed me about Rick was his overly-PC and vague approach to the media. He was the king of giving a non-answer to a question and dancing around, not to mention hardly speaking with media to being with. So Gaine giving us anything will be a breath of fresh air.
Exactly what i thought.. Rick Smith was just horrible on giving any details or specifics to the Media (Atleast this guys is communicating straight forward).. Just a change
Um...why give your strategy out to your opponents? Fans don't need to know.......strategy on building the roster.
I’m not really sure why a GM or coach should give anything to the media... I always liked Belichicks approach of not giving up anything.
I know. I think people want Gaine to work so badly they will pull positive out of anything he does. And if you hated the previous guy, anything that contradicts him impresses. I get it.
