Or just get dirty every day and make that immune system work for you. I played in the dirt and creeks and woodpiles and ponds and mulch all the time. Still do, actually. It's good for you.
ive got the flu now. hit me yesterday and i spent all night puking - at least 20 times. by far the most ive ever puked in one night. i was shivering cold and then right before puking i would get super-sweaty. for awhile i just layed on my bathroom floor so i could more easily puke in the toilet. cant eat today or do much more than lay in bed/couch. did not get a flu shot, but i got my 2nd round of post-harvey clean-up hepatitis shots a couple days ago and am guessing i picked something up at the docs office. sitting in a chair in lobby w/ bunch of people, flipping through magazines that sick people were also reading. i should have worn gloves and a mask when i went. but at least i wont get the hep!
Am i the only person who finds it strange that we're still battling the flu? We have watches that communicate with SATELLITES, but i'm still battling the sniffles? Let's go, folks.
1st time catching the flu in my life. Someone come put me out of my misery. My wife won’t smother me with a pillow
We got a lot of conspiracy theorists in this thread. Why hasnt @RocketsTruth chimed in? Holy chit is he banned?
Not at all The money is in research and long term 'treatment' They have not 'healed'/'cured' anything since polio They still madd about missing out on that polio money Rocket River
Jonas Salk the real MVP. Could have been a baller but never patented the polio vaccine. The world needs more people like Salk.
Pretty much this. If you feel remotely sick, stay home or stay away from everyone. If a family member is sick, quarantine them to a room or YOU stay home. If you're one of those assholes who insists on leaving your house, notify everyone around you and stay away from everyone. The biggest reason there are flu outbreaks is because nobody takes it serious. "oh ill just get a shot and ill be ok"
yeah, basically we've all been told we need to stay home if we're feeling sick. We have unlimited sick days....so take advantage of them.
Be careful with freshwater from lakes. **** will mess up your ears and give you a permanent ringing white noise.
Flu has significantly calmed down this month. December was the worst. 100+ people were walking into a small er facility with 1 doctor. I think people were dying because of negligence. Not hydrating themselves, no rest, and no fever reducer medicine.
Get the flu shot. While it's true that this years flu shot only keeps you from getting 10% of the strains out there this year..IT DOES help you if you get one of the other 90% strains. It also helps your immune system to fight off the strain you do get. People who get the flu AFTER receiving the flu shot have a much easier time getting over the flu than people who don't get the shot. It's like saying that you lost your winter coat, so why bother putting on a sweater when it's 20 degrees out side. True the sweater won't keep you warm in 20 degrees, but it's a LOT better than going outside in just a T-shirt.
