I think we should concoct some good rules and apply them, abide by them. First and foremost, finish the draft and let's not make it a mess. The judging part will be tough enough.
Get us 6 other dudes, and we are good to go..... still have to refine the rules and maybe do a moderate salary cap.
@LCAhmed @Yung-T @BigMaloe @torque @Jmcballer88 @daywalker02 @Jontro? So far - keep on coming, bruhs!
So I’m thinking 80-90m salary cap? I always like a more difficult cap plus it sparks variety in draft order.
Will crunch the numbers today and check how rosters would turn out with that kind of cap. Agree that tighter ones spark more creativity and lead to trades.
We use the official numbers. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/ Important question: 10 or 8 players? Will have a big effect on the salary.
I can do 10 or 8 but it's going to be a snail show. BTW We save tag team mode for next time and next next time.
It is usually much faster, but we didn't do the OTC thing in strict fashion. We should do it like in the old days where we also wrote the "OTC til xy am/pm" for every pick and rigorously skipped as soon as that time passed. And maybe do a rule where everyone has to PM their picks to someone.
Set of rules (Draft) Modern Draft (Year 2000-now 2018) 10 Players Draft No Franchise Draft - for instance everyone can draft Durant with Jerry Lin. No specific draft order drafting Players but Coach Draft is strictly forbidden - Coach Draft should take place after Players Draft 10 Players then 1 Coach Extension of OTC to 4 hours Players have to tell one guy they trust of their picks. Salary cap (@Yung-T is manager of that)
Thoughts on added caveat that player has to be drafted in 2000, or like 1999/1998/1997? Don't want to deal with a bunch of twilight 90's stars, but that could just be me.
