OKC fans are starting to turn to the “we’re built for the playoffs, not the regular season” rationalizations now
were those all this year? looking as quick as i could it seemed like i found melo or george in every play i got a look at. quite a collection.
I like the way that after most of those he either looks at the teammate as "WTH man" or the ref like "I was fouled". There weren't too many that he seemed to take ownership of.
There’s gotta be something wrong with Russ. Maybe that injection he had before the season didn’t help as much as it should have, Idk. this level of inefficiency is crazy even for him he has dropped off so much from last year...imagine what he might look like 3-4 years from now OKC has put their future in his hands...their future does not look bright
i feel like i have to take the blame for this one. i wanted an okc collapse too much and actually watched this one. i don't think i've seen almost any of their close losses this year. granted, i turned it on and memphis was down 2 and forced OT (with some lucky calls), but the thunder were down 3 with 15 seconds to go and somehow won (thanks jermichael!) with me watching. i need to just enjoy the aftermath, not watch the game. the grizz managed to somehow not get an easy dunk or get a good free throw shooter to the line. jbb team executing brilliantly down the stretch. on the plus side, i do enjoy watching jbb lose. i should get paid an nba assistant head coach's salary to root for his teams.
that almost seems impossible. i mean i saw the rockets only have 4 players score in a game once, but 2 players assisting? you get assists just by accident. since i'm guessing no one's ever gotten all the assists, that at least ties a record. 7/29 and all the assists. sounds fun to play with.
as much as I want to hate on russ's game, I gotta agree here and believe that this is the case. He didn't sign the extension all summer but immediately signed it after his PRP injection. His game is so dependent on athleticism. He isn't worth that much if he can't out jump and out run all the dudes on the court. Might be one of the most athletic players in nba history. He also is currently playing with a hip contusion btw though. His game will not age well. cp3's game aged very well because of how skilled he is. Westbrook might be another derrick rose by the time he is cp3's age IMO.
I keep reading people make the joke on here “no help” It occurred to me though that Westbrook tries to play the same way during the all star game. I don’t think it really matters who he would potentially play with. He would still try to be alpha 90% of the time. At this point I really don’t think he will ever get it.
This is why they should fire Donovan ASAP if they want to take advantage of having these players. What's the point sending out decent assets for 2 rentals if you're going to let the coach waste the possibility that you have a special season and they decide to stay with the franchise?
Grizz got robbed with the non-call. Either Robertson reached in on that last play or Melo had contact.
