How in the hell are we favored in this game, somebody is about to point shave big time. Which I won't mind because it means Applewhite is finally thinking strategically and outside the box.
I expect this game to be competitive, but I've just lost faith that this program is on a clearly great trajectory. Before it felt like every year we *should* win 10 games and the conference. Now we're headed back to Levine territory. Baffling losses to crap teams. Offensive mediocrity. Moral victories (aka close losses to good teams). 10 win seasons a virtual pipe dream. I need a solid Louisville style ass-kicking of Memphis here to snap me out of it.
sadly i pretty much have the same outlook. attendance is dropping as well as a result. no idea how UH is even favored against memphis but +/-3 are generally 50/50 games imo
I feel your pain. I think we were spoiled by Herman's instant success here. On paper, we should be a lot better of a team than we currently are. I wasn't a fan of the Applewhite hire, but I'm willing to give him some time to see what he can do. If we keep him on a short leash like we did with Levine, I'm satisfied.
7-0 Cougars. Looks like Vegas knows something. Memphis and their rip off helmets look beaten. We look like the better team right now outside of Postma missing a wide open wr.
There is a shift in the force around Houston. This is a good sign that events are tuning. 14-0 Houston.
Hack a kicker. It was trashy, but preserved the shutout. It's like watching La La Land 3 times and letting everyone know you didn't like it.
