Cool. I thought he would bat Gattis 5th and then put Maybin 8 and Reddick 9 to have alternating L/R/L in the bottom of the order. With Marwin switch hitting it's not a huge deal, except later in the game.

With Marisnick hurt, this is the best Astros lineup.

I like Gurriel in the line up as opposed to being the DH. It's harder to hit as the DH when you aren't in the flow of the game. Marwin hasn't been producing that much with his bat, so I'd rather put Gurriel who's been very consistent in the line up to get the most out of him.

Strong chance we see Reddick doing just that in the early going if he has a guy on to move. Reddick is 2-19 with 6Ks lifetime vs. CC. If they shift on Reddick I would love to see him to try bunt for a hit down the 3B line. CC won't be in the game long anyway.

 

Essentially replacing McCann with Maybin puts a lot more speed on the bases. Better "D" at first as well. I like it!

 

McCann has been in a major rut since that hit in the first game. Good to get the righties in.

Bregman and Altuve should always be 2 and 3 in the batting order. They belong together.

 

He has; but his job now is to essentially maximize our aces. If they continue to pitch like they have, I can live with a sub .500 OPS from him.
