you know whats so funny, im on twitter and the majority of the responses for why the packers are losing is because of mccarthy and the refs and these are mostly non-black people tweeting this. But when a black qb is in the same situation you would swear its the end of the world. Jason Garret just threw Prescott under the bus postgame. Prescott has had much better games than a guy like Goff or Wentz and neither coach has publicly blamed them for a loss like Garrett did today. Like i said, black qbs have to play mistake free football every sunday. Because the critcs never give them credit. Its credit to the defense, rb, or oline when they win. And all the blame on them when they lose When a white qb like Carr, Wentz and Mariota lose its because they dont have enough help. But those are lies Truth is nobody is immune to bad games, tom brady was awful week 1, and bound back today. It happens.
Dak didn't play that bad. Obviously Denver's defense at home is elite and you can't ask for much more. If you have to throw 50x against that Denver defense due to no running game you will see games like that. Tons of elite QBs have had terrible games against the Broncos.
Chargers have to change their kicker, they could've been 2-0 if not for him missing makable field-goals.
Box score watching? First game wasn't his fault at all. It got blocked because the o-line couldn't stop penetration. Second game is all on him though. Two missed FGs
I must be missing some quote from Garret. Did he say something more than this? "When they play that style of defense, you have to be able to consistently attack with the passing game,” Garrett said, via the Dallas Morning News. “At different times today, I thought we were able to do that, and at other times we weren’t. We didn’t make the plays, for whatever reason. We really needed to have [consistent] success throwing the ball. We were not able to do that.” With that quote, he's blaming the entirety of the passing game which includes the entire offense. They need receivers to run routes, recognize defenses and catch the ball. They need the OL to give the QB an opportunity to make plays. They need RBs to offer protection and, yes, of course, they need the QB to make plays. Unlss I am missing a separate quote, Garret blame the entire offense. If you're looking at that as singling out Prescott, then you're simply looking for controversy.
I just noticed that Watson made it in the ESPN red carpet skit for Monday Night Football. They love this guy.
Eh, not taking anything away from him, but look at the all-time QB rating list...it's all guys from the last 15 years. Chad Pennington is 14th.
Which is why QB Rating is pretty useless if you use it as a base metric across all eras of football because it will always be skewed toward QBs who played in the latter decades after pass coverage rules were hardened to allow for more passing in the professional game. Obviously nobody really thinks Chad Pennington was better than Johnny Unitas. So if we look at QB rating only in the "modern era" say since 1998, Rodgers has still consistently outperformed every modern QB, and that includes Tom Brady and Peyton Manning arguably the best 2 QBs of all time. Still, you can't ask him to go out there without his 2 stud tackles and expect magic to happen. Even Joe Montana was pretty useless if you got a couple big hits on him early. Part of Rodgers genius is that he is incredibly adept at throwing on the move from nearly any angle. He is used to operating with knowing his line will hold up for a good 4-5 seconds and then he can improvise and create another 3-4 seconds and wait for a receiver to get open. A bad offensive line will make any QB look bad in a hurry.
ESPN likes to talk Beckham, well they need to talk about how dirty of a player he is and get off his nuts.
