eeked one out against a powerhouse HBU team that's practiced twice. Looks like it's going to be another banner season for you bobcats.
Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of being 1-0 and not being in the top 5 of most embarrassed schools in Texas.
What was that? Couldn't make that out being so high up in the rankings. Having to look down on everyone else in the state can get exhausting.
How I slept on a trip to Boulder, I'll never know. Especially when Jason Isbell was at Red Rocks two nights before. Epic fail on my part.
As an alum, I wish they would drop football and embrace soccer. We need more men's D1 soccer programs in Texas, and it is something we could own as football is always dragging behind the big boys. DD
An argument for another thread....but D1 men's soccer isn't long for this world...at least in the context it existed in 20 years ago as the top development league in the country.
Firing Withers seems like a good move. I only saw them play once but they were overwhelmed and his play-calling was really suspect. If you don't have a dominating OL you have to be more creative and focus on speed. I know TxState doesn't draw much talent... but they just didn't seem competitive even in their own conference. No surprise they named the DC to coach the last game, and the email they sent seemed to tout his experience but they also said they will hire a search firm to find candidates. One concerns... they mentioned the buyout costs... hoping that doesn't mean they are going to cheap it out.
Knowing nothing about the facilities or why he would go there or anything, that indeed looks like a great hire.
