It was just a little sarcasm. Being a Trump barnicale is a good thing promise. Oh wait more sarcasm. Sorry, apologies.
I can't wait for FN's bushit rationalizing this: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...llers-aau-team-court-receiving-technical-foul
Am I the only one who thinks its crazy that Lonzo Ball only has to sell 3000 pair of Big Baller Brands Zo2s to make the $1.5 mil a year the major shoe companies were offering. Out of 20k ppl the Lakers are going to have on opening night, ppl don't think its going to be at least 3000 Lakers fans with the star player signature shoes on? The rookie will make that $1.5 mil by opening day..
sure but that's gross and doesn't account for any cost. To make a shoe mold and one for each size is super super expensive that's why they did a preorder so they help fund the cost of making a shoe. I believe it's somewhere around $100k a mold for each size, which I read up on some sneaker article.
Bruh, you're talking to someone that posts from his momma basement. Pretending to be a character on an internet board. Life does not get much more bleak than that. Sad.
This. They're not making much on those trash shoes. The end game is to get a real shoe contract. The only suckers are the idiots that are buying BBB. A fool and his money, I guess...
Dennis Smith has been dominating scrubs who won't even make it in the NBA. Why don't you wait till his first couple of games at least before you proclaim him better than the MVP runner up? lmao We don't even know how long of a career Smith will eventually have, his athleticism seems to be too much for his body to handle. He might pull a Griffin blow out his knee or something after a dunk with the way he is going.
Fans buy the shoes to support Ball and his family, not really for anything else. Not sure how that would make them suckers it's like saying people who buy NBA jerseys and merch are suckers.
Why the hell would they pay an asinine amount to support a family that doesn't need supporting? They're paying at least double the price for a far inferior product. That means they are suckers.
Why do people pay hundreds of dollars for a Jordan series shoe? You're telling me Jordan needs money? What Durant, Lebron, Harden shoes these guys are millionaires already how come people still buy their shoes? As expensive as BBB shoes are, they are nowhere near the price of Yeezys or the top of the line Jordan shoes but people still buy those shoes. As a matter of fact, just take a look at Iphones those are behind in specs compared to Android but people still buy those in droves despitw it being inferior and more expensive.
Yeah its the pro coaching and belief to it that can get him far, IMO. Lonzo is alright WITH the quirks in his game. Iron out quirks a little, add more physicality to the cerebral play and he'll be plenty good Lavar said teams mentioned Lonzo playing as a combo/shooting guard. But he was DEFIANTLY ADAMANT that his son is a POINT GUARD only, not a 2 at all. Perhaps he's actually right. Though thats what I meant by father distraction. On one hand he let Lonzo play to his own style to great results. But then on other hand he's FIRMLY DEFINING his son's role and NBA position, which can be a LIMITING factor. It can influence a RESISTANCE to change, & a lack of coachability. (Where I linked it to a "Terrence Williams" type lack of adaptability. Not from Lonzo, right from Lavar's overreaching influence). Lucky for Lonzo he doesnt seem the stubborn bull his dad is. What benefits Lonzo, despite odd shooting form and lack of dribble separation, he totally plays the MODERN NBA Daryl Morey-ball "3's & Paint" game. Its how he was so efficient in college, NO MIDRANGE shots at all lol. Despite all the questions, distractions, unconventional path, his approach might be very NBA ready already with room to grow
Lavar should just let the kid and his coaches do their job. If he wants to meddle, he can meddle with the business side all he wants. Leave basketball to the basketball pros. Anyway, I think sometimes people give too much credit/blame to parenting. Don't get me wrong, parenting is extremely important. But sometimes good parents produce bad kids and good kids come out from bad parents. Sometimes the credit or blame is on the kids. They make their own choices despite the parents.
