http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/pag...istons-announce-new-team-logo-bad-boy-look-it I know it's old and couldn't find a thread on it, but this is like the 10th team going back to an old logo with some tweaks. The craziest part is how close it is to the original, just one stripe deleted and chrome instead of white..so odd and yet the trend continues. While I'm not at all against our logo, I think with some tweaks it could look really fierce and more like an actual rocket, if it means new jerseys and all, I'm all for going throwback with some tweaks!
Look very closely at the font of the new logo, especially the "PISTONS" and you'll see that font is actually the same as the logos from 96-2017. It's very subtle, but it is exactly the same font, with some minor tweaks to outlines. If the Rockets were to take the same approach, would it work? A lot of fans don't like the current font. Maybe we use the font in our new black jerseys, and incorporate that into the Championship logo? Or the recent red and yellow alternate "Houston" font from a couple of years ago.
Someone do an update like this to our 94/95 Logo please. I've seen a few do it, but they tried too hard to reinvent it. It just needs minor touch ups including new wordmark and modernizing by making less clustered with mismatching lines. Hell, even our original inception Logo can have an update and so can our dildo logo. All of our logos can be modernized and look pretty good.
These 2 can be updated too. I actually think the San Diego Rockets logo is the most fitting for today's NBA with some modernization and red and gold. Jerseys based off of the championship era.
Of all these logos, the teal horse might look the best, but it makes no sense whatsoever. I wonder how much they got paid to design the new logo, lol. I mean you could get that for like $100 for real. Still love the Rockets current logo although suspect I might be in the minority on that.
Lucky you're not on the dark web right now, or 500 kilos and a big violent invoice would have arrived at your door already.
