That was good. I really didn't want it to be that good, but it was. There's a part of me that misses Andrew and I never met him. That's good filmmaking.
Totally agree. Just rest assured in this case, and most cases, that "based on a true story" means it is almost 98% made up. Spoiler The bathrooms at Langley were not segregated at the time. ... And that woman did not contribute those calculations.
"Whew"...I thought you were going to tell me they weren't actually black, or women. Great movie, btw, everyone should watch it.
Thought it was going to be terrible but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I am definitely glad I didn't pay to watch it in theaters but for something on demand to kill time, not the worst.
At All Costs - AAU Basketball Documentary 8.5/10 - Very interesting documentary about the business of amateur sports.
Wonder Woman. 5/10. Pretty cheesy. Surprised by all of the positive feedback on this. Probably good for kids.
I thought the fighting scenes were really good. Beyond that, it was super cheesy. Saw it in theaters and then tried to watch it again online; couldnt do it(not re-watchable)
Along with Life (great film... interesting that Ryan Reynalds was supposed to play the Jake part but wanted to spend more time with his beautiful pregnant wife Blake Lively so they switched roles), I just watched an older film on Netflix called Taking Lives... cop drama with the always beautiful Angelina Jolie, Gena Rowlands, Kiefer Sutherland and Ethan Hawke. Angelina. Sex scene. Boobs. A few twists and turns if you are into that sort of stuff.
If you want angelina sex scenes, gia and original sin are 10/10 in my book. I can't remember what they are about though, I do remember a nice bathtub scene (spoiler hard on alert) . I've seen them all but on TV. thanks for the heads up will watch it
I recently had the opportunity to watch 20 minutes of this in what can only be described as the ultimate home theater. A 20 foot wide screen, with movie theater esque sound, and super high quality projection system, etc. It was the "key" 20 minutes - the explosion scene if you will. The experience was amazing.... and made me really want to see the movie overall. It spoke very clearly to the impact of how you watch the movie / where you watch the movie. It was much better than a movie theater, because it felt very "personal" if you will. Comfortable, couches, just not in a theater. But it was also much better than any even premium home theater I'd been in in my life... because this was freaking legit. I wonder how different I'd rate movies generally if I was able to watch everything like that.
Infiltrator- 6.65/10 Felt rushed. Good acting. Too much to cover in a 2 hr movie. Wouldve been great as a netflix series.
The Great Wall I had a strong suspicion I would regret renting this movie and... suspicions were confirmed. I have no idea what Matt Damon was thinking. This was hokie and awful.
Treated the missus to The Big Sick, which I was kind of dreading, but it was pretty funny in parts. I liked the immigrant story part of it anyway, and the lead actress was cute in a totally offbeat way.
Wish upon. Definitely a good modern scary film. It kept me entertained and guessing throughout the whole movie. It was a mix of 1 missed call, the ring, and final destination.
Dr Strange It's on Netflix right now. 6/10 Typical superhero movie trying to be more but eh. Strange was struggling with everything then suddenly became great at everything; we didn't even get a real training montage. I'll be interested in him with the team but not so much as a solo act, even though Chiwetel Ejiofor is money (love for all the Firefly/Serenity alumni!).
