They have two stars / future superstars on rookie deals, Butler was signed to an old max deal with 2 years left not a new supermax. Another way to look at it is their three superstars combined make about what Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon make

NE was essential to the Rockets in the playoffs. After he was hurt too much to continue the rockets lost. I hope he finishes his career here. He would be worth the contract when he is 39. I remember an Charles Jones dusting his shoes off to fill in when we needed him in the 94-95 playoffs. NE is a great competitor and we would be blessed to have him here.

I agree, I think Nene would still be a serviceable center even in the end of his contract. Stupid rule the CBA and the owners agreed on limiting the contract lengths for players over 38. I doubt there's huge interest in signing Nene to a bigger 3 year contract than what Houston was offering but who knows. Let's all sit down and pray Nene and the Rockets get things done. We certainly need him at the C if Capela is staying on the roster for this coming season.

 

38 rule has Nene allows Rockets to only offer 3 year deal from what I understand;
Nene considering options. Good if they can work things out.

Addition of CP3 was suppose to bring in players. Hayward/Millsap/Redick still asking too much.
