Anyway, was looking at their cap, and to make that deal during free agency they would've to renounce to Hill (who's probably gone anyway, they couldn't agree to a deal during the season) and trade Favors to have enough room to take Anderson contract with Beverley, and trade Burks too to take also Lou.

I wonder how difficult it would be to make a 3 way deal like this today:

Houston gets: George

Indiana gets: Favors + Hood + 24th + Burks

Utah gets: Beverley + Anderson + Lou

Since this is just yet another team calling about Bev's availability, reinforcing his value ...

...the bigger story here is why no article about Utah wanting Rubio...thought he was the better fit in Jazz land.

 

I think he is ok with the decision to shop him and rather than show weakness or emotions, he would rather show he is totally fine. This is the Bev we know and love. It would be extremely un-Bev like to come out and say "I hope they don't trade me". It's not like he said he doesn't like it here.

Also on a more practical note, he is a great player. He has beaten out so many people. He has the confidence that he will do the same where he goes. I respect the dude.

Anyway, this is a sad subject. We might have no choice if George is a possibility. No one has given more sweat, more screams, more dives, more bruises for the team than this guy. Still, if he is traded, I will put money down guaranteeing a big acquisition. Morey does not want to trade him either. This guy produces like $15m in value at $5m. But we don't have attractive picks, and all the teams in control of big names want picks. It is what it is.

 

Patrick Beverley? Rockets trading him to Utah?

 

He's the icing on the Atom Bomb. Package him with Anderson for an AllStar because no one wants Anderson alone.

 

Personally I think if there is a player somewhere in the 1st round that has dropped to a spot that shows real value and Morey has a chance to get him on the cheap he won't hesitate in pulling the trigger (he tries to do it every year). First round draft picks are locked into a 3 to 4 year rookie scale contract if I'm not mistaken and there is a very high value salary cap wise to having that ie.Clint Capela ect.

 

Keeping ryno would be huge if we managed to get at least 1 more star. If we get two more stars then ryno would really show his value.

Imagine him spacing the floor for 3 double team worthy players...

All of these teams should realize they are in a huge bidding war over a Morey asset and just walk away.

This makes me kind of sick.... Beverley is the heart and soul of this team, as currently constructed.

Also I'm not sure where the idea that Harden doesn't work hard comes from? He's turned himself from a guy that isn't exactly a freak athlete to a player that will end up in the top 2 of MVP voting 2 of the last 3 years. The way the season ended sucked, but let's not get carried away.
