It isn't good when any politician lies, but Trump has done it far more times than any other President and it isn't even close. And Obama was not 100% the opposite of the most open administration. That would be the most secretive and closed administration. Obama released the records of his visitors to the Whitehouse, Trump has shut that practice down from his administration. Obama's sec. of state actually spoke to the press, Trump's rarely does at all. The list goes on and on. I will agree that Obama was less open than promised, and his crackdown on whistle-blowers was horrible. It was one of the worst things he did his entire presidency. But please don't pretend like Trump and other politicians lie the same amount but just about different things. They don't. Trump has lied more and continues to lie more all the time.
Not a liberal but do care about the truth as of right now 45 has shown that he's not telling the truth but if what comey is saying is the truth that so called matter that it's been rumored that 44 as it was called then lets get Lynch on the stand because i can only see one difference between the two that emails may have lead to 4 American being killed and another country messing with one of the most important pieces of American democracy there is that is not just a matter it's a problem.
I won't argue about Trump's lies but I think you give Obama way too much credit. I see no need for a back and forth on this because we both admit they all lie but I just pointed out one aspect of Obama many lies. He lied on numerous occasions but i won't waste time pointing them out because you know what they are if you care to admit them. I am not making an excuse for Trump but I do not like hypocrisy. I think the people on the left are too hypersensitive to Trump's lies just as the people on the right were too hypersensitive to Obama's lies. Same goes no matter who is President. Anyone taking the time to post in this section of the forum is for the most part pretty dialed in on politics even if we do not all agree. We all tend to look for faults in the party we disagree with. Right now a Republican is in the White House so it is his time feel the heat for the untruths he may state.
ah.. there is lies and then there is Trump. He's on a different level. It's abnormal when hes' not lying. SMH. Horrible.
WTF does that have to do with anything? That was twenty years ago - try staying a bit relevant with the times. Clinton isn't President, Trump is.
Please... any analysis of Trump's penchant to lie will show its actually much easier to keep track of when he tells the truth than when he is not. Here's Politifact's latest analysis... and when you combine mostly false, false, and "pants on fire" Trump is telling untruths 72% of the time. You can compare that to Obama... who is telling true, mostly true, or at least half true 75% of the time. Heck, even "crooked Hillary" was telling the truth 73% of the time. http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/ http://www.politifact.com/personalities/barack-obama/ http://www.politifact.com/personalities/hillary-clinton/
"Trump steaks are the best steaks." I mean... why are there any Trump votes for this thread in Texas?
Whopper of the day... Trump declares he's 'passed more legislation' than any other president besides FDR By Eric Columbus President Donald Trump on Monday boasted that he's "passed more legislation" and accomplished more to date than any of his predecessors “with the exception of FDR" — a declaration that doesn't appear to match with history. “There’s never been a president that’s done more in this time,” Trump told reporters during a meeting with his cabinet at the White House. “Who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than we’ve done.” However, Harry Truman passed 55 bills within his first 100 days, and according to the White House website, Trump has only signed 48 so far on his 142nd day. Many of the bills Trump has signed, such as designating buildings and appointing board members to the Smithsonian, do not have a major, direct impact on Americans, and Trump's ambitious legislative agenda on tax reform and infrastructure is largely stalled. The outlook is also uncertain for the Obamacare repeal bill, which passed the House and is now facing a tough road in the Senate.
Not saying he doesn't, but... Secret Service reportedly has no Trump tapes http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/12/secret-service-reportedly-has-no-trump-tapes.html
Has this Comey thing passed like yet another kidney stone of the Trump administration? Not much more a Republican Congress can do with their hands being tied by evil Communists and atheists...
From the latest CBS poll on Trump... Majority of Americans from both parties believe Comey more than Trump, CBS poll finds http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/majo...-comey-trump-cbs-poll-finds/story?id=48153530
Correct. Probably should have left political affiliation out (overall its true) or that both Democrats and republicans both think Trump is not telling the truth that nothing improper happened.
Lies? It's just locker room talk spoken by an inexperienced 70 year old manchild. Not like he represents the American people for anything.
No it isn't a fair point. These are ridiculous false equivalencies. Every human lies therefore Obama and Trump are the same isn't a fair point. Would Obama lie about loosing the popular vote by making false allegations of millions of illegal voters? Would he lie and state thousands upon thousands of Jersey Muslims were celebrating on the streets the day of 9/11/2001 when that was blatantly false? The ****er has been on recorded testimony stating that he bases his net worth on how he feels day to day. He's a 80's pyramid schemer con business man. To compare him to Obama is insane. Cml is insane or a troll.
You have to be insane or completely delusional (voluntary or not) to believe that Obama or pretty much ANY political figure has lied to the extend that Trump has. Lying is his nature while not lying is the exception.
