The only team that could have signed him to $200 million is the Pacers. Has to be a team where you had a rookie contract. The time has now passed, he will never get the super max.
It's the offseason. This is the time of the year where 30-40% of Clutchfans actively crucify Harden for not being Lebron. Happens every year, just gotta wait for October.
no brainer. he would be locked up well into his 30s and best playing days. wouldn't matter where he would be after that
There are a lot of reasons why this will trouble this team for a very long team. 1). This team is built unlike any championship teams. Championship teams have core from development of their own picks. 2). Harden is unlike the top options in any other championship teams. They have high FG%, and Harden does not even with the most FTAs in this league. Considering that rebuilding would usually take 3 years or longer, so basically, this extension guarantees this team has no shoot on championship for the next 10 years.
Not saying what side of the coin I'm on here, but, let's say I agreed with you. Wouldn't a Harden on an extension net a better deal than one that could bolt in 2019? So if getting rid of him was our MO, the best ROI would be to extend then find a suitor for him a la LA or some team like that.
The How about you take a hike if you are so unhappy?.It seems a lot of folks here are sick of you're antics
I guess there are too many Morey's ass licking guys like you?. You do not even has your own idea about this game.
This makes sense. George may have played his hand to get out of Indy, but also give more leverage to himself and the team that acquires him. He can tell certain teams I won't sign or consider you, which would lower their offers or have them walk from the deal. He then could force Indy's hand to deal him where he'll consider resigning. I'm hoping Houston is in the latter category.
This is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. The reason his FG% is low is BECAUSE his FTA is high. He's consistently one of the highest TS% player scorer in the league.
No, the reason his FG% is "low" (lol, really? it's pretty similar to Kobe Bryant and better than TMAC) is because he takes so many 3 pointers despite regressing as a 3 point shooter. He's a better 2 point shooter than Kobe was, but James took NINE 3 pointers a game last year and shot under 35%. He took basically the same number of 3s per game as 2s per game.
Harden's FG% would go up if he wasn't first looking for contact to draw fouls on layups. He's a great finisher around the rim, he sacrifices his FG% to draw fouls instead around the rim a lot of the times, which analytically is the correct play. His shooting percentage 3 ft and in is around 65%, while his FT% is around 85% which is equivalent of shooting 72%. Also gets the other team in penalty faster.
