I can only speculate that we already submitted to the league that we are rolling over our capspace until next year. Can't use it if we did, deadline has passed. And oh yeah, Hopkins is an FA next year. We'll have no leverage to keep him.
Duane signed the contract. Nobody forced him. He has 2 years left on it. McNair can't start folding every time a player gets greedy or there would never be a point of having them sign contracts. They will all start holding out in team workouts, etc.., and spend their time on twitter and Instagram and other me me me activities showing off instead of working out and setting examples for the rookies. I don't even know why I waste my time replying to this, because you obviously look at it from the aspect of the greedy athletes who think everyone owes them more than the millions they already make.
Well if McNair agrees to make the rest of the contract guaranteed so he doesn't risk getting cut and getting nothing, I'm sure he'd show up
26 TDs to 9 INT with a 95+ rating...and they need a QB? They had the 11th best offense in the league, despite Rishard Matthews being their best receiving threat.
We'll revisit this conversation this time next year. Perhaps he'll improve and not just be living on YAC and I'll look bad for doubting him, perhaps not. We'll see.
Agreed, I was hoping when Maclin left they'd strikeout on Decker too. He's a TD magnet and Mariota is probably the best QB in our division (yes including Luck) so that is a team that will be nipping at our heels for division leader, if we don't get OUR QB situation handled quickly.
Is that why the Titans were 30/32 in YAC rankings for 2016? Perhaps you should educate yourself before spewing hot takes. https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/team-yards-after-catch-statistics/2016/
Anyone that says they wouldn't kill to have Mariota on this Texans team is not football smart. He's exactly what this team needs to win the super bowl, if he stayed healthy.
Good interview with Bill O'Brien on MAD radio this morning. I think they spoke to him at length last Friday and are playing pieces throughout the week. Today he talks about analytics and his relationship with Rick Smith. The most interesting parts of today was that he and Smith get along well, speak nearly everyday. Smith will not draft anyone that O'Brien does not want. Also the consensus in the front office was that Watson, not Mahomes, was the best QB in the draft. Definitely worth a listen. Especially since fans like to speculate on the front office dynamics. https://embed.radio.com/clip/620618...919026-35&rollup_ga_id=UA-2438645-53&r20id=63
Bull SHIiiiiiii. I don't believe a thing he says and the organization. I have a feeling they panicked when Mahomes was taken.
