    Here is the first post of the Morey image. It's from a NY Times article in Jan 28th, 2008.
    Not sure who first started using it as a meme, though. But it is posted in this thread.

    Houston’s G.M. Is a Revolutionary Spirit in a Risk-Averse Mind [NY Times]

    I suppose turning the image into a meme picked up steam after that date, in some thread. Maybe somewhere during the 2008 trade deadline.

    Also random but I remember the LOF days. I knew about CF but didnt sign up until 2014 but geesh those LOFers man. I remember we beat Boston on a Friday night game and these guys made a thread complaining about Lins minutes and his production in this offense. Given we won that game by more than 10 points too.

    F3ck. Jan 28th, 2008 when the NYTimes posted that photo, and the corresponding thread was made on cfnet, was the off-day right before the 22 Game Win streak began. Last loss was the 27th, and first win the 29th.

    Posting of the Morey photo started the 22-game win streak.
