You mean like the lakers dif this season? Mozgov and luol deng? Well good job. You'd have to pay some bums big money to play for your crap organization. No way they land a top 20 free agent this summe even with a a max contract since they can get max contracts on better teams. And as i said, they screwed up every draft pick they had throughout the last 5 years (which were all lottery picks) and pels probably wont remain in the lottery if cousins and davis fit well together. How can you see that as a good trade?
pelicans would be royally screwed if AD gets hurt this season. it'd basically be kings 2.0... no hield + no lottery pick and the possibility of cousins leaving in the offseason
Teams screw up picks EVERY year, come on, stop with that. It only takes the right number 1 pick (and this is how you get one of those) to turn a franchise around. Easy, they aren't winning anything with cousins, there is no need to argue that. They got 3 1sts and a 2nd. That's a haul. (Heild, pels, and secured their own) Oh, and hey! They got Tyreke back, who actually liked playing in Sac-town, and the money to spend.... not a knock, he was 20/5/5 with the ball in his hands. No more quotes between us, calm down, the trade isn't a bad trade.
This is not that bad a trade, Kings weren't winning with Cuz, yes they should've gotten more draft picks for their franchise player, but they needed to get rid of him and they got that done. Morey should get in there and finagle B. Mack and Koufos. And T. Jones for that matter...
He's walking next summer. He doesn't like playing with other bigs. He gets upset every time the Kings drafted a center. It'll be interesting to watch for a few months though.
AD isnt a center he's a multi positional player who is comfortable playing the stretch PF role. Of course Cousins would be upset, Kings keep drafting guys who think could be his replacement lol if they surrounded him with complimentary players instead maybe theyd have reached the playoffs by now
He has all the talent, wish him all the best on a winning team. Getting on the same page and turning corners.
Good for Cousins He can learn all the subtleties and intricacies of the game from DMo - low post scoring, boxing out, positional defense, 3 point shooting etc.
Well, we'll see soon enough how they match up in the west. Their next game is against us on Thursday. That'll be interesting to see if they can guard on the perimeter, or if we will be able to do any damage on the inside at all.
I admit I wasn't expecting this to happen. I feel Cousins will demand a lot of touches, and this could create problems between him and AD.
Also sick of all the good players staying in the West while LeBron gets another easy path to.the finals when his only obstacle will be a 5'9 dude smh...
Bad for both sides, but the Pelicans we're not going anywhere so might as well take a risk. Not sure who wins here, but Kings definitely could've gotten a better deal.
I don't care as much about how this impacts Kings or Pelicans for that matter. The only thing i care is to see if 2 most dominant bigs in current nba can change style of play and make bigs more relevant. If they could upset GSW (highly unlikely, but more stranger things have happened before) that would be beyond glorious.
