Politico: How we killed the Tea Party

Seems like there was a legit reason to audit all those tea party PACs after all.

 

What's the overlap between tea party and Trump supporters?

 

The ones who state they don't support him will defend every brash statement he has ever made so essentially they are all Trump supporters.

 

"POLITICO last year reviewed the activity of 33 conservative PACs for the 2014 cycle. Combined, they raked in $43 million dollars, according to the POLITICO report. Of that, $39.5 million went to overhead including $6 million to entities owned by PAC operators; candidates got $3 million."

Amazing.

 

Its really not any different with most charities.

 

Legitimate charities aren't using 92% of the money they raise on "overhead." Not even close. These are Scam PACs.

 

Considering the Tea Party was made by PACs this article is amusing.

 

The sooner the tea party dies, the better off it is for this country.

 

It won't die.

But I think it's time for the Republican party to split into the Donald Trump/Tea Party people and a moderate party aligned with small gov't.

The problem with the Republican party is that it's been two camps, and the Tea Party was about advocating for white rights against the left but didn't care anything about conservatism.
