    Need recommendations for a 1.75L in the 20 to 30 dollar range. (Or costs less and tastes like it should be in the 20 to 30 range)

    Good recommendation but Ive never seen it in 1.75L.

    Rum typically isnt very expensive so there are gonna be quite a few in your price range. I tend to like spiced rums more since I believe they mix better with coke. Although I now stay away from most drinks that are sugary(not the rum but the coke). I just can stand the hangovers anymore. I would recommend Sailor Jerry though. Really smooth and 47% alcohol. Its sneaky scary.

    Cruzan is the best cheap rum that I've found. I think it runs about 20 bucks for 1.75L. We drink the light rum, so I can't comment on the dark or the spiced.

    If you want to go super cheap, but still really good rum, try Ron Rico. At Specs I think the 1.75L bottle (plastic) runs about 18 bucks.

    I usually grab one just to have around for random guests that want Rum

    Just for me, not for mixing outside of maybe the occasional rum and coke.
    Yeah usually when entertaining its going to be cheap or even brandless liquor lol.

    Whenever I was doing research on my own two names always come up: Cruzan and Don Q.

    Another vote for Cruzan as a cheap option. Mount Gay (insert jokes here) and Myers are both good too but more expensive.

    Not a big fan of spiced or white rum, so only dark rums listed here.

    Those are my 3 go-to's usually.

    Might have to try out some Cruzan now with all the endorsements.
